TMNT: The Cowabunga Collection
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Cowabunga Collection Hits You In The Nostalgia

A lot of people from my generation grew up with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Originally a very dark comic book, it was eventually adapted in several animated series, some live-action movies and even had a comic book revival. The franchise, which had been losing steam for some time, feels like it's back and bigger than ever. It's not just comics, movies and television series though. TMNT is known for some really awesome video games, a lot of them coming from the era of arcades and 16-bit games. Well, what if I told you there's a huge collection of those games coming out for modern consoles? Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Cowabunga Collection was announced during Sony's most recent State Of Play alongside other games such as The DioField Chronicle.

Here's the trailer, before we talk further about the game.

And here is a list of the games included in the collection!

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (Arcade)

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles in Time (Arcade)

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (NES)

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Arcade Game (NES)

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III: The Manhattan Project (NES)

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Tournament Fighters (NES)

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles IV: Turtles in Time (Super Nintendo)

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Tournament Fighters (Super Nintendo)

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Hyperstone Heist (Sega Genesis)

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Tournament Fighters (Sega Genesis)

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Fall of The Foot Clan (Game Boy)

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: Back From The Sewers (Game Boy)

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III: Radical Rescue (Game Boy)

Even though the games were shown off at a Playstation event, they're not going to be Playstation exclusive. You'll be able to purchase them on Xbox and the Nintendo Switch as well! Even more surprising, in my opinion, is the fact that the games are being released physically. This could be huge for collectors, especially since games like this usually don't have very many copies floating out in the wild. If you're a huge Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles fan this game is going to be a must-have for you!

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Cowabunga Collection will release sometime in 2022.
