I don't know what the hell is going on over at DC, but I think someone has lost it. It looks like the comic company is teasing one crazy freakin' romance coming up in one of their Justice League books. Honestly, seeing this image may have ruined my life a little, and I don't know if I'll ever recover. Is it possible that there is going to be a Wonder Woman and Darkseid romance? I really hope not, but if there has to be I hope it at least makes for an interesting read. I'm not sure what to make of all this, but if shocking people into buying the issue was the goal... it's definitely working. I'll be picking up Justice League Infinity #4 just to see what the hell is going on.
Justice League Infinity is an interesting comic since it is a spin-off from the animated Justice League Unlimited series. That animated series is from an era where DC reigned supreme as far as animated series went. They even had their own DC Universe across several shows. These included Batman The Animated Series, Superman The Animated Series, Justice League, Justice League Unlimited, Batman Beyond, and Static Shock. There were others too if I'm remembering correctly. Fans usually love when they continue these shows with comic book series. A great example of this is Batman: The Adventure Continues which is currently on its second series and doing quite well.
Still, there doesn't seem to be a scenario where Wonder Woman would end up with Darkseid. Not romantically, anyway. Their ideals are completely opposed and Darkseid is, y'know, one of the evilest villains in the DC Universe. If I had to take an educated guess, the cover is probably a trick. Not fully, but I suspect there is going to be some kind of curveball. What I do know about the issue is that Diana and Darkseid end up trapped together on a barren planet.
