As someone who has only been slightly interested in The Flash film, I never expected such an awesome trailer to drop. For those who don't know, which is pretty much no one, the first big The Flash trailer was released during the 2023 Superbowl. The trailer heavily featured Michael Keaton's Batman and showed off the new Supergirl (Sasha Calle) and gave us our best look at the film yet! The Flash synopsis was also released, giving new information on the upcoming DC flick!

And, here's that synopsis!

"Worlds collide in The Flash when Barry uses his superpowers to travel back in time in order to change the events of the past. But when his attempt to save his family inadvertently alters the future, Barry becomes trapped in a reality in which General Zod has returned, threatening annihilation, and there are no Super Heroes to turn to. That is, unless Barry can coax a very different Batman out of retirement and rescue an imprisoned Kryptonian… albeit not the one he's looking for. Ultimately, to save the world that he is in and return to the future that he knows, Barry's only hope is to race for his life. But will making the ultimate sacrifice be enough to reset the universe?"

The film has been stuck with its own controversy because of Ezra Miller's legal trouble. It's also been heavily debated whether or not The Flash will reset the entire DCU and make way for James Gunn's DCU instead! This is certainly likely and has even been hinted at by Gunn himself!

For now, we'll just have to wait and see, but the wait won't be that long! The Flash is releasing on June 16, 2023.
