Marin Kitagawa
My Dress-Up Darling Leaves Marin Kitagawa Very Sweaty After Cosplay Event

My Dress-Up Darling episode 5 aired over the weekend, and what an episode it was! Marin finally attends a cosplay event in My Dress-Up Darling episode 5! This shouldn't come as a surprise to viewers, since Gojou did manage to finish her cosplay in time. My Dress-Up Darling episode 4 ended with her finally getting to try the outfit on. She looked amazing, and episode 5 continued from there. Marin had Gojou take some photos of her and she was so excited she couldn't stop herself from smiling! Things only got better as Marin Kitagawa heads to her first-ever event. She draws attention almost immediately, and is asked for photos which is awesome! Then things take a sweaty turn.

With his lack of experience making clothes for people, Gojou didn't account for Japan's crazy heat. With the thick, fancy fabric on Marin's cosplay and the UV rays beating down on her things almost turned dangerous. Though Marin had an amazing time at the event and loved every second of it... it seemed like she was close to passing out. For those who aren't familiar with cosplay too much, you're generally not supposed to pass out while wearing it. Due to several factors including Marin wearing a Nubra, her thick wig, and the heavy, black outfit Marin ended up nearly getting heatstroke. It got bad enough that Gojou had to take her somewhere private to cool off.

Luckily, the crisis is mostly averted. Marin gets some fluids in her and after a quick google search, Gojou comes up with some good ways to get Marin's temperature way down. This does lead to kind of an awkward scene for the poor guy though. Marin is literally dripping sweat and needs some help cooling off. Gojou is happy to help, though it does involve helping unzip her cosplay outfit from the back. Then wiping her back of sweat, which has Marin sighing and moaning happily. Even Gojou comments she should stay quiet. Needless to say, if someone had been walking by, out of context, that scene certainly could have raised some eyebrows.

In the end, though, Marin is saved and even returns for one last photo in her cosplay. The two then head home and share a sweet moment on the train. The important part here, however, is that Marin loved her first cosplay event! She even thanks Gojou several times for making her dream a reality, firmly cementing their friendship afterward when she says she wants more cosplay outfits made. It looks like My Dress-Up Darling isn't done introducing new outfits for Marin, and that's something I think everyone can get behind.

If you don't keep up on anime news, you might not know that My Dress-Up Darling beat out Attack On Titan and Demon Slayer in popularity last week. That's an incredibly impressive milestone to hit. Especially when you consider the fact that Demon Slayer and Attack on Titan are some of the most popular anime in the entire world. Yet, here comes Marin Kitagawa ready to dethrone both Eren and Tanjiro! Not only that, but the My Dress-Up Darling manga has received a significant boost in sales since the anime started airing just a little over a month ago!
