Despite being a huge DC fan, and a huge Batman fan, I only saw Batman Returns for the first time ever recently. It was a wild ride, let me tell you. As someone whose first live-action Batman was Christian Bale, seeing the original Batman films was a mind trip. Now, I'm not opposed to old films, so I definitely had a good time watching those two films. I'll be moving on to the following films, next. I enjoyed them, it was just a shock! With all of that being said, Jack Nicholson's Joker is legendary, Keaton is pretty sick as Batman and Michelle Pfeiffer was a way better Catomwan than Halle Berry. And, she's willing to come back to the role too.
Can you say The Flash cameo, anyone?
So, it's no secret that Pfeiffer is an incredible actor. She has three Academy Award nominations and has been in tons of beloved films, including the aforementioned Batman Returns. She's currently doing a press tour to promote her newest series, The First Lady, where she plays Betty Ford. A lot of people think that it's the best time for her to return to the role of Catwoman, though. Michael Keaton's return has given us all hope, because if he can come back, so can she!
Not too long ago she spoke to The Hollywood Reporter about The First Lady, but the subject of Catomwan came up. When posed the question Pfeiffer replied "She pulled off the almost impossible combo of sexy, ironic, tragic, dangerous, and just plain good. It would depend on the context but, yeah, I'd consider it."
If you're a comic book fan and you recognize Pfeiffer from somewhere, don't be surprised. She might not have been Catwoman since 1992, but she has jumped the ship over to Marvel. Pfeiffer is actually a part of the MCU and plays Janet Van Dyne. She first appeared in Ant-Man And The Wasp. She's currently working on Ant-Man And The Wasp: Quantumania, which is set to release on July 28, 2023.
