It's finally happening! Henry Cavill is officially coming back as the Man of Steel! It's been years since we saw him as Superman. The last time would have been when we saw the release of Zack Snyder's Justice League. Since then it's truly been up in the air whether we'd ever see Cavill put on the suit again. Now we know for sure that Henry Cavill is back! In fact, he already has been, if you count his cameo in Black Adam!

For those who haven't seen Black Adam yet, well, spoilers. Truth be told, however, it's almost impossible to have avoided this news if you're a DC fan at all! I mean, Dwayne Johnson even leaked the post-credits scene before the film was ever released. It also seems as though Johnson is a huge reason why we're getting Cavill back at all!

Let me sincerely say thank you for helping bring Cavill back, Mr. Johnson!

Cavill made an official announcement on Monday, which was a few days ago now. He posted to his Instagram following Black Adam's opening weekend. It seems he wanted to give people the chance to see the movie before he made any kind of official announcement. He posted a short video to his Instagram, and fans are seriously loving it so far!

“I wanted to wait until the weekend was over before posting this because I wanted to give you all a chance to watch ‘Black Adam. But now that plenty of you have, I wanted to make it official: I am back as Superman.” he said in the video.

The Rock has made some big promises, including promising that we'll see his character fight Henry Cavill's Superman at some point! That's a big deal! As of now, we have no idea when this will happen, though. There is reportedly a Man of Steel 2 in the works, but that is not confirmed. Nor is a second Black Adam film.
