Gotham Knights Robin
Gotham Knights Official Robin Trailer Shows His Teleporting Shenanigans

I don't care what anyone says, I'm excited for Gotham Knights! I've been replaying the Arkham series to get into the mood. Not that it takes much, being the DC super fan that I am. Yeah, the game doesn't look perfect but I really like the effort it looks like was put into the game. The concept is intriguing and I'm sure the combat will feel better than it looks. Just a little while ago, there was a trailer released that featured Nightwing. Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment released a follow-up trailer, this one featuring Robin instead!

Here's the trailer, in case you haven't seen it yet! I'm a bit late on it, but I'm happy I'm getting around to this trailer now.

It looks like the team behind Gotham Knights is taking some liberties with the characters and the abilities they possess or gadgets they use. From a gameplay perspective, this makes sense! We don't want four characters who play like Batman clones, do we? Well, maybe you guys do, but I sure don't.

Nightwing will be using one of Batman's drones as a kind of glider. Red Hood meanwhile uses new abilities that use soul energy, that allow him to traverse Gotham by... kind of jumping on air. It's hard to describe, but I recommend checking out the previous Gotham Knights trailer to see it in action. It's an ability Red Hood, Jason Todd, acquired when he was revived using the Lazarus Pit. I'm not exactly sure what method of traversal Robin is using, but it looks like teleportation. The reason I'm confused is that he also uses a grappling hook at some point, so that might be his primary method of traversal too.

Keep in mind it's possible that all characters can use a grappling hook, though.

Gotham Knights is releasing on Playstation 5, Xbox Series X, and PC on October 25th, 2022.
