This shouldn't be a surprise to people who have been paying attention, but the Batgirl trailer is here! No, not the movie, silly! I'm talking about the Gotham Knights trailer featuring Batgirl as a playable character! It was announced on Thursday that Batgirl would be patrolling SDCC on Friday, teasing the imminent release of the trailer. That's why it's not surprising that the trailer released today!

Batgirl narrates over the trailer, which features her taking down criminal scum. As we learn throughout the trailer, her motivations for protecting Gotham seem the closest to the Dark Knight himself. She wants to strike fear into the heart of criminals and become a symbol of peace for Gotham City! You will, Barbara, you will!

This isn't the first character focused trailer we've gotten for Gotham Knights. We got a very acrobatic Nightwing trailer, followed by a gadget-ridden, teleporting Robin trailer.  Both were exciting in their own right, but this is the one I was anticipating personally. Batgirl is who I'll be protecting Gotham with when Gotham Knights releases in October. We can also, probably, expect a Red Hood trailer at some point in the near future. I bet his will feature guns.
