A new Fire Emblem Musou game is on the way! The new game, Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes is coming out on the Switch this June! The original Fire Emblem Warriors released years ago for the 3DS and the Nintendo Switch, was a mishmash of series. Instead of focusing on just one Fire Emblem game it featured characters from across the entire franchise. This one seems more focused on Fire Emblem: Three Houses, the most recent of the Fire Emblem titles.  Three Houses was the first Nintendo Switch Fire Emblem title and was met with generally positive reviews. Fire Emblem Warriors on the other hand received more... mixed reviews. That's what makes the announcement of Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes so surprising. Still, I'm not about to complain, being a huge fan of the series myself.

The three leaders of each faction in Fire Emblem: Three Houses are back, this time for some hack'n slash action. Musou games have come a long way in the last few years, and I'm excited to see what Three Hopes brings to the series! Fire Emblem Warriors, the original, was constrained by also needing to release on the Nintendo 3DS. Three Hopes will face no such restrictions, meaning it has a real chance to shine!

Tons of series have had some awesome Musou games released for their respective franchise's, including other Nintendo properties. The Legend of Zelda has seen two such games. Hyrule Warriors and Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity. Both were pretty positively received. Persona 5 even got the Musou treatment when it released Persona 5 Strikers which was praised for some awesome gameplay. The story, as with most Musou games, wasn't as good as the mainline titles in the series though. That's okay, though, because we still get to kill thousands of weakling and feel like complete badasses while we play.
