DC's Stargirl was a surprisingly good time when season two aired! I really enjoyed the darker shift the season took, and Brec Bassinger was fun as Stargirl. The show is something different in the wave of DC television, and I never left an episode of season two disappointed. Now it's time to get excited all over again because DC's Stargirl season three finally has a premiere date! That's right, we know when DC's Stargirl is returning to TV now, and I couldn't be more excited!

I will say it's quite sad, as there aren't any other DC shows returning along with DC's Stargirl. It's a different time, and the Arrowverse has been shrinking rapidly. Still, when DC's Stargirl returns on August 31st I'll be ready with my popcorn.

Alright, but what do we really know about DC's Stargirl season three? Well, the honest answer is... not much. The storyline and any further details have been kept tightly under wrap. Even more so than usual, I feel like! Hopefully, that means there are some big surprises coming to DC's Stargirl this season. Now, even though the information hasn't been plentiful, we know a little bit about what to expect this year!

Season three of DC's Stargirl will be subtitled "Frenemies" and the theme will be a murder mystery! This was confirmed by Stargirl herself, Brec Bassinger! She spoke with TVLine pretty recently, which is where she revealed this exciting tidbit of information.

"You know what, I'm just gonna say it. Murder mystery! And how evil and good are going to live in a town together and figure out who the murderer is." is what she told the outlet at the time.

Superman And Lois and The Flash both concluded their seasons on The CW recently, and both will return for more episodes. For now, we'll just have to enjoy DC's Stargirl season three all by its lonesome when it starts later this Summer.
