Square Enix has announced that it is releasing a beautiful new picture book starring everyone's favorite Final Fantasy creature, Chocobo! The cover alone looks gorgeous, so I have no doubt the inside must be as beautiful. Chocobo and the Airship: A Final Fantasy Picture Book is the title of the upcoming book, and if you love Final Fantasy you're probably going to love that cover.
The book is being written by Kazuhiko Aoki and drawn by Toshiyuki Itahana. Aoki has written for the Chocobo starring Chocobo's Dungeon 2 while Itahana was the character designer for Final Fantasy Fables: Chocobo's dungeon. That means both the writer and artist have extensive experience with Square Enix's flagship bird, Kweh!

Written by the director of Chocobo’s Dungeon 2 and illustrated by the character designer for Final Fantasy Fables: Chocobo’s Dungeon, this heartwarming story is a treat for Final Fantasy fans of all ages.
If you're a North American fan wanting to order this book, be warned it may only be in Japanese. The inside of the book hasn't been revealed yet, but pre-order pages for the book, even in English speaking regions, features Japanese text on the book. I've reached out to the official Square Enix Books Twitter page and will update if I hear back.
The book will cost $17.99 in the US and £14.99 in the UK and pre-orders are live on the Square Enix store.
