Rise Of The Shield Hero
Rise Of The Shield Hero Season 3 Gets Poster

Rise Of The Shield Hero was a smash hit when it first debuted in 2019, and fans were incredibly eager for a second season! Well, it was soon announced that the series was renewed for both a second and third season! Then Covid hit and everything went to hell. Luckily, the second season released during the Spring anime season and now season three isn't very far behind! We even already have a Rise Of The Shield Hero season 3 poster!

Here's the poster, for all you curious Rise Of The Shield Hero fans!

As awesome as the poster is, Rise Of The Shield Hero season 2 wasn't met with as much acclaim as the first season. It seems like they cut a ton of content from the source material. I can't confirm this, that's just what I've been told. That would explain why the entire thing felt rushed though. The spirit tortoise stuff especially.

I, along with many others, are hoping that season three can return the series to its former glory. The poster, which you can see above, reveals a mysterious new character. The announcement itself also confirms some returning staff for the third season, which is always nice. The teaser visual is cool, but we don't have a release date yet!

It has already been confirmed that Crunchyroll will be streaming it when it does start airing though, which should be a relief to subscribers! Was there ever really any doubt though? Not for me, I believed with all my heart! What this means, however, is that you have plenty of time to catch up on the first two seasons if you so choose! They both air on Crunchyroll.

Here's the description of the series: "Iwatani Naofumi, a run-of-the-mill otaku, finds a book in the library that summons him to another world. He is tasked with joining the sword, spear, and bow as one of the Four Cardinal Heroes and fighting the Waves of Catastrophe as the Shield Hero. Excited by the prospect of a grand adventure, Naofumi sets off with his party. However, merely a few days later, he is betrayed and loses all his money, dignity, and respect. Unable to trust anyone anymore, he employs a slave named Raphtalia and takes on the Waves and the world. But will he really find a way to overturn this desperate situation?"

Expect Rise Of The Shield Hero to air on Crunchyroll sometime in the future.
