My Dress-Up Darling: Marin Kitagawa's True Feelings for Gojou Revealed

The newest episode of My Dress-Up Darling aired on Saturday morning here in North America! If you haven't seen it yet, I highly recommend checking it out! Not only was it another fun, awesome episode but... a lot happened! It was quite the emotional rollercoaster for Marin Kitagawa in particular! Something fans have suspected since the beginning was finally spelled out, clear as day. At least, it was to the viewers. It looks like Gojou is going to be kept in the dark for a little while longer. So, what are Marin Kitagawa's true feelings towards Gojou? Well, that's explored fairly early on in the episode.

If you haven't watched My Dress-Up Darling episode 6 yet, I highly recommend you do so before reading below. We'll be unconcerned about spoilers going forward, so you've been fairly warned!

All right! So fairly early on, Marin and Gojou are cleaning the wig she used for her cosplay. That's when we start getting some major hints. The way that she looks at Gojou completely changes, and we get those classic anime scenes. You know the ones, the kind of scenes where she blushes just from looking at him. When her heart goes pitter-patter just from him smiling. She even, upon looking at his face, starts imagining him with cute backgrounds. The entire scene is played really well, and incredibly funny. I mean, I think it's always fun when we see Marin get a little flustered. A few minutes later though, Marin confirms what we all already knew.

While Gojou is having a talk with his grandfather, Marin comes to a realization about Gojou. She finally realized, and acknowledges, that she is completely head over heels for him. She says so herself, though not to him of course. She actually has something of a little freak out while Gojou and his grandfather converse. It was another incredibly funny scene that reveals that Marin has completely fallen for Gojou. We all say this coming though, it was obviously going to happen. I'm glad that for once an anime did this reveal fairly early on. Hopefully it doesn't take too much longer for Marin to let Gojou know, too. I'm somehow doubtful of that, though.

Still, one can hope!
