Marvel's Midnight Suns Spider-Man
Marvel's Midnight Suns Reveals Release Date Alongside New Trailer With Spider-Man

Marvel's Midnight Suns is one of those games I didn't know I'd be excited about but am. Now, it makes total sense that I'd be excited about it. I love Marvel, comic books, and Spider-Man especially. I also love tactical RPGs, so this game is right up my alley. It doesn't hurt that the story looks genuinely interesting and that the game is being developed by Firaxis who is the studio behind the incredible XCOM game series. During a presentation on Thursday, we learned not only the released date for Marvel's Midnight Suns but also that Spider-Man is joining the game! He won't be Playstation exclusive this time, either!

Bill Rosemann, Vice President and Creative Director at Marvel Games, had this to say alongside the debut of a brand new trailer. The cinematic trailer takes place in-engine, so should be a good way to gauge what the game should look like on launch.

“We’re thrilled to invite players into the darker, supernatural side of Marvel. In Marvel’s Midnight Suns, our friends at Firaxis and 2K have created an incredibly unique and totally authentic Marvel experience that fans can leap into this October!”

The creative director from Firaxis, Jake Solomon, had something to say too:

“We know fans have been eager to see what’s coming next for Marvel’s Midnight Suns. We’re honored by the opportunity to introduce so many new heroes and villains to Marvel fans and can’t wait for tactics players to discover the joys of fighting like a Super Hero in Marvel’s Midnight Suns!”

Mentioned above was the reveal of Spider-Man in the trailer. Despite taking place in a completely different universe, Yuri Lowenthal (the man who voices him in the Playstation exclusive Spider-Man titles) will be returning to voice the wallcrawler. The trailer also featured Venom, who seems to be joining Lilith, The Mother Of Demons who serves as the primary antagonist for the game. She also seems to have The Hulk under her spell.

The game will have some degree of customizability and a ton of characters to recruit. You'll be able to upgrade them as you see fit, so there are tons of teams you can play around with. Ultimately, it's up to you to decide which characters you want to take into battle with you! The game looks superb and it's coming out in just a few short months. You'll be able to play Marvel's Midnight Suns on October 7, 2022.

Marvel's Midnight Suns will be available on October 7, 2022. The game was originally supposed to come out earlier but was unfortunately delayed.
