Komi Can't Communicate was a hit during the last anime season! Fans were overjoyed when they found out that Komi would be coming back for more with a second season. Over the last few weeks, Japan has seen the first few episodes of season 2 trickle out. Sadly, there's no simulcast for Komi Can't Communicate season 2, well, not completely. Season one aired on Netflix weekly but started a few weeks after the episodes had already started airing in Japan. The same is true for season 2, and the wait is now over! Komi Can't Communicate season 2 episode 1 is on Netflix right now! I'm so excited I haven't even watched it myself yet because I rushed here to share the good news!

This release model isn't ideal, in my opinion. It means we're several weeks behind the Japanese episodes. It doesn't help that really hardcore fans will just watch what fansubbers put out. If Netflix could release the episodes the same day they air in Japan, it would be ideal! Instead, we're left waiting several weeks. With that being said, it's hard to complain too much just because of the sheer convenience. Besides, I'd wait as long as I had to for Komi, more than anyone she deserves it!

Komi's anime wasn't the only thing that was a huge hit. A few years ago Komi Can't Communicate went absolutely viral as it started gaining some steam in the West. People fell in love with the adorable, wholesome Komi. Many people promised to protect her with their lives. The manga is now immensely popular and based on all reports season one of Komi Can't Communicate was a huge hit.

For now, only the first episode is available and only in Japanese. If this mirrors the season one release we'll see the English dub in a few weeks. Each will be released weekly, though at different times. The order of release will be the episode will air in Japan, followed by the subtitled episode on Netflix, and ending with the English dub shortly after that. If you're feeling really adventurous, and can't get enough of Komi Can't Communicate you could watch the sub and dub!
