The creator of the Monogatari series, a very strange, sometimes lewd but extremely popular series, is creating something new! A new series was announced as being in the works by Nisio Isin. Isin will be teaming up with Takolegs, an illustrator, to create a new series called Kaito Flaneur no Junkai. So even though Isin is done with Monogatari for now, fans of his work can continue enjoying Isin's talent once this new series starts publishing!

Very little is known about the series, but that is to be expected. What we do know however is that the story will follow a thief, but there's a bit of a gimmick. He's not stealing from people, he's trying to return items instead! It's not like the concept is entirely unique, but it's still a quirky little idea that a lot could be done with.

This was all announced via Twitter, but the most surprising part of this whole thing is the fact that the series is coming sooner rather than later! The first chapter will be available as of September 7th. Of course, it'll be in Japanese so if you want to read it you better know the language. Or you can just wait for the inevitable translation, official or from fans.
