Attack on Titan
Attack On Titan Reveals The Inspiration For Naming Paradis Island Walls

Attack On Titan has gone absolutely bonkers in the last few weeks. The newest episode was the craziest one of them all, though! Things really went to hell, as Eren pulled an Uno reverse card on Zeke and ruined his entire day. Eren didn't pull any punches as he screamed so hard his voice actor nearly lost his voice. He convinced Ymir to give him the power of the Founding Titan and from there, well, the world was screwed. Eren activated the rumbling and there really isn't a whole lot that the world can do except watch in horror. I know that if I saw tons of Colossal Titans coming after me, I'd watch on in horror. There were some other interesting tidbits, though, if you were paying attention! Attack On Titan also explained the origin of Walls Rose, Sina, and Maria. Or at least, their names!

This episode featured a ton more flashbacks, but it's hard to mind when those flashbacks are so good. This time, we saw the story of the founder Ymir, who is also the first Titan. We learned her tragic tale and how her life played out. It was really horrible to be honest. She went from a slave, to "freed", to finding the power of the Titans, to being turned back into a slave. She was forced, with her Titan form, to work for the king and help expand the Eldian territory.

With their primitive weapons, other tribes didn't stand a chance against the Titan. Things get a little screwy once the king says "I will gift you with my seed" and she births three daughters, though. Eventually, Ymir dies from a spear wound and is fed to her three daughters: Rose, Sina, and Maria. That's right, the founder Ymir's daughters share the same names as the three walls on Paradis Island.

This information isn't necessarily life-changing. Nor was it incredibly important to the story, but hey... it's still pretty interesting if you ask me. It's always awesome to notice the smaller details like this one. I wouldn't be surprised if some missed it, though. Especially when you consider the fact that, y'know... the three of them ate the cut-up pieces of their mom shortly after this information was revealed. Or was it shortly before? I honestly don't remember, I just keep remembering them eating their mom's body. Good stuff.
