So, here's something I never thought I'd be saying but... Tower Of God is returning for a second season! Crunchyroll actually made Tower Of God themselves in house, though it's based on a Webtoon. This news actually comes courtesy of Webtoon, who announced it during the Crunchyroll Expo.
The first season released all the way back in 2020, and since we hadn't heard anything since, well... some Tower Of God fans thought we wouldn't be seeing Bam again. Yes, the main character's name is Bam. There is one small caveat that might dampen the news of Tower Of God's return though, but it might not be an issue right away.
Even though the anime is returning to Crunchyroll the Tower Of God comic is on an indefinite hiatus, meaning it does not have a proper ending. Lee Jong Hui, who also goes by SIU, is the creator of the series and has stepped away for some time now. He started Tower Of God in South Korea all the way back in 2010. More recently however he had to take a break due to some health issues he's experiencing.
For right now there is no word on him returning to finish the series. There's also some key art!

"The long-awaited second season of the celebrated anime series Tower of God, based on SIU's WEBTOON webcomic, is headed to Crunchyroll. The sensationally beloved series of the same name originated on WEBTOON--the world's largest digital comics platform home to 82 million monthly users--where it has over 4.8 billion views online, and will also be debuting its first volume of the upcoming graphic novel edition from WEBTOON Unscrolled on November 22. Season two of the dark fantasy series will follow Bam as he continues his journey through the mysterious tower."
No release date on when Tower Of God will return, that being the anime version I'm speaking of this time. With that being said, I'm glad the series is returning at all.
