The Flash season eight is just running by! The CW has gone ahead and released The Flash 8x09 synopsis for the upcoming episode titled "Phantoms". Between the title and the synopsis itself it's looking likely that we might get the introduction of a brand new character. One that we know will be appearing at some point in the season, we just don't know exactly when. It's been previously confirmed that Mika Abdalla would be portraying Tinya Wazzo, AKA Phantom Girl. Iris might be meeting her in "Phantoms" but I guess we won't know for sure until the episode airs on March 30th.

Here's the synopsis for all you curious fans out there!

"THE FIRE WITHIN – Barry (Grant Gustin) and Team Flash get closer to figuring out the Fire Meta but no closer to finding him meanwhile Iris, (Candice Patton) needing a distraction, follows a story to Coast City. The series also stars Jesse L. Martin, Danielle Panabaker, Danielle Nicolet, Kayla Compton and Brandon McKnight. Stefan Pleszczynski directed the episode written by Jeff Hersh."

What's really cool is that this will be the first live-action appearance of Phantom Girl. She's been in some of the animated DC stuff before, such as Young Justice and Superman The Animated Series. She's by no means a huge character, but she is a part of the Legion Of Super-Heroes. This wouldn't be the first time the Arrowverse has featured the Legion. Many of the members appeared in Supergirl, which has since ended. Brainiac-5 was on the series for a number of seasons portrayed by Jesse Rath.

The Flash season eight airs on The CW on Wednesdays. "Phantoms" will air on March 30th.
