Kat McNamara as Mia Queen
The Flash 8x05 Synopsis "Armageddon, Part 5" - Mia Queen Returns

Once upon a time, there was a man stranded on a deserted island. He spent five years there then returned to his city to fix all the mistakes his father made. This man's name was Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell), and he became the Green Arrow. Why am I talking about Oliver Queen in an article about an upcoming The Flash episode? That's because Oliver Queen's daughter, Mia Queen (Kat McNamara), is returning to the Arrowverse after a long time away. After Arrow ended, we were originally supposed to get a spin-off series focused on Mia Queen as the Green Arrow and other characters from Arrow, including some of the Canaries. I mean, the show was literally called Green Arrow and the Canaries, so it makes sense. The show was canceled, sadly, and never saw the light of day. It really is a shame since Kat McNamara is pretty freaking awesome. Well, she's back, and The Flash 8x05 synopsis reveals that Mia Queen will be a part of the "Armageddon" finale! The CW released the synopsis for "Armageddon, Part 5" on Wednesday, and fans are eagerly awaiting the episode to see Mia Queen return. Well, that, and to see how "Armageddon" ends.

Before we talk about what's going down any further though, let's actually take a look at that synopsis I mentioned above.

"THE EXCITING CONCLUSION TO THE FIVE PART ARMAGEDDON EVENT BRINGS THE RETURN OF MIA QUEEN – The conclusion to Armageddon presents an opportunity for The Flash (Grant Gustin) to end his lifelong battle with Reverse Flash (guest star Tom Cavanagh) for good, but the payoff could be too much for Barry and team to handle. Meanwhile, Mia Queen (guest star Katherine McNamara) drops in from the future looking to save a lost loved one, and she won't let anything stand in her way. Menhaj Huda directed the episode written by Kristen Kim."

There are so many things to be excited about, it's kind of ridiculous. For starters, it looks like we may see the final confrontation between The Flash and Reverse Flash. Reverse Flash is by far Barry's greatest foe, his arch-nemesis. The synopsis hints at more, though. What's really interesting though, is the mention that Mia is on a mission from the future. That and she's trying to save a loved one. Could this tie into the backdoor pilot we saw back during Arrow's last season? It's definitely possible since it has been hinted that fans might want to rewatch that specific episode from Arrow's final season. It could be that The Flash will finally tie up those loose ends, which would be a nice send-off for the character of Mia Queen.

Are you as excited for the end of "Armageddon" as I am? If you are you should head over to the Multiversal News Facebook and Twitter and let me know! Check out my personal Twitter too, @LittleHandAlex, since I'd love to hear what you guys have to say.

The Flash airs on Tuesdays on The CW. "Armageddon, Part 5" will air on December 14th.
