Supergirl Sasha Calle The Flash Movie
New Supergirl Sasha Calle Might Get Her Own HBO Max Series!

Sasha Calle's Supergirl might be getting her own series on HBO Max! I'm still getting ready to say goodbye to one Supergirl, so it gives me hope another one will replace the other right away. Supergirl is currently airing its final season, and the end is quickly approaching. We've already known for a while now that Sasha Calle will be taking up the Supergirl mantle. Not literally, since the Sasha Calle version of the character will most likely have nothing to do with the Arrowverse one. Still, it's awesome that a new Supergirl will be introduced when The Flash finally hits theatres. But what about this show, though? Is it possible? Well, some people certainly think so.

For now, the rumors of a Supergirl series on HBO Max are just that. A rumor. I hope it's true though because based on what I've seen of Sasha Calle's Supergirl, I already love it. I'm basing that off the costume of course, which we've seen from photos on set. It seems like That Hashtag Show is the one reporting on this upcoming series, but we should still treat it as a rumor. Until Warner Bros officially announces anything, I don't want to get all your hopes up for nothing!

They know very little about this potential series as well, though. They're saying that reports initially indicated that Supergirl would get her own film. The reason is, apparently, because the people working on the Supergirl film will need more time to properly tell her story. There are a few other tidbits too, such as the show being a prequel to The Flash. That would mean we will see how she ends up in the film with the Scarlet Speedster.  Not to mention, they're also claiming that Michael Keaton will appear as Bruce Wayne but that no version of Superman will be present.

I, probably more than most people, hope that this is real. It doesn't even sound that implausible, but until we know more I just can't say for sure what will happen. A series would certainly give the creative team more time to explore and expand on the character and her origin. And with this version of Supergirl not tied to the Arrowverse or any preexisting version of the character, allegedly, they can really do whatever they want. Maybe the team behind Supergirl can do her justice, and it sounds like DC content on HBO Max is going to be a huge part of the service going forward. Something I can't find myself complaining about.

For now, I'll keep myself... cautiously optimistic. But I promise if I hear anything else I'll be rushing to share it here, on Multiversal News. Thanks for reading!
