Supergirl 6x13 Trailer "The Gauntlet"

As usual, The CW has gone and released the preview for the next episode of Supergirl after the current one ended. This is the Supergirl 6x13 trailer for the episode titled "The Gauntlet". This episode of Supergirl will air on The CW next week on Tuesday, September 28, 2021. This is the sixth and final season of Supergirl, and I've been preparing for that all year. It might not be everyone's cup of tea, but Supergirl just happens to be one of my favorite characters. I don't know if I'm ready to say goodbye to Kara, even if Supergirl isn't my favorite Arrowverse show! For the record, the synopsis has already been released too, so I'll include that a little further down too.

To get started though here is the Supergirl 6x13 trailer for "The Gauntlet"

"SUPERGIRL MUST PASS THE TEST OF COURAGE - Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) and team race Nyxly (Peta Sergeant) for control of a magical totem that controls courage. Supergirl and Nyxly battle and each get a piece of the totem but learn the first person to pass the test of courage will gain control of the entire thing. Meanwhile, Lena (Katie McGrath) is still struggling to make sense of her newfound gift. The episode was directed by Tawnia McKiernan with story by Dana Horgan and teleplay by Jay Faerber & Brooke Pohl."

Lena will be in this episode heavily again, and it looks like this storyline will play out until the end. Now that Lena has learned more about her lineage, and is getting some powers of her own, she might still have a big role to play before the finale. This isn't surprising when you consider the fact that Katie McGrath herself has discussed she'd love to see Lena come to terms with herself before Supergirl is over and done with.

"I really would like to see Lena come into full acceptance of who she is, that she's fully accepted who she is, what she's done, and who she is now. She's not hung up about the bad parts of her, and she's fully accepted the woman that she is, warts and all, and she believes that she is a good person. For me, that would be such a lovely wrapping up for Lena because she struggled so much with who she is. To finally just take a deep breath and go, 'I'm enough, Lena is enough,' and be happy for it, I know it sounds so simple, it's not like these grand plans that everybody else probably wants for their characters, but it's so simple for Lena. I just want her to finally be okay with who she is." she told Entertainment Weekly previously.

Are you ready for more magical Lena Luthor next Tuesday at 9/8c on The CW? That's September 28, for those who are bad at counting days (like me).
