Resident Evil 4 Remake
Resident Evil 4 Remake Gets New Gameplay At Capcom Showcase

Resident Evil 4 is considered one of the best games of all time. It's also been released on almost every platform imaginable. Multiple times, too! Last week Capcom revealed that they've been working on a Resident Evil 4 Remake. This isn't too much of a surprise when you consider that they recently remade Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3. Both were hits, by the way, but especially Resident Evil 2. A the Capcom showcase on Monday, we now got to see more gameplay for the Resident Evil 4 Remake.

It looks as awesome as you'd expect.

They showed essentially the same trailer again but talked about it a little more. I'm sad to say that, unfortunately, the gameplay we saw was very minimal. In fact, looking over the footage again I'm not even sure that ever even showed any combat. That's okay though because even from the little we saw it's easy to see that the atmosphere is on point.

A lot of fans are looking forward to this one, but many are also scared. Resident Evil 4 is one of those legendary titles and any changes could be viewed as blasphemy. The previous remakes took some liberties with the story and made a couple of changes. Will Resident Evil 4 Remake follow suit? It would make sense if only to keep it in line with the previous two remakes.

We'll have to keep an eye out as more news emerges for the remake. At the very least, Resident Evil fans have plenty to look forward to until this remake comes out. For example, Capcom stealth dropped next-gen upgrades for Resident Evil 2 Remake, Resident Evil 3 Remake, and Resident Evil VII. These upgrades are free provided you already own the games. We also learned about a slew of Resident Evil Village DLC coming out this October.

All of that should keep Resident Evil fans busy until March 24, 2023, when the Resident Evil 4 Remake is set to release.
