There was a big Pokémon presents on Wednesday morning that revealed a lot of information for the two upcoming Pokémon games. Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet are coming out this November, and we've had our best look at the games yet. Revealed during the Pokémon Presents presentation was the region for the new games. The region is called the Paldea region and takes inspiration from the Iberian Peninsula. Basically, it's based off of Spain and Portugal.

If you want to see the entire Pokémon Presents presentation for yourself you can check it out below. It's worth a watch, especially for the Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet presentation that starts about ten minutes in.

The trailer mostly got attention for revealing information on the new legendary Pokémon of the Paldea region. Koraidon and Miraidon aren't just Pokémon in this game. They'll also function as a vehicle that you can ride on to get places. They're living motorbikes, and so far I hate it. Still, the trailer suggests you'll get them early on so that you have access to the entire Paldea region. After all, it wouldn't make sense to block off where you can go if the game is truly fully open world, as said during the presentation.

We saw the new gimmick too, which turns Pokémon to crystal, had some cool Pokémon revealed (including a regional variant of Wooper) and learned that the game will have some elements of cooperative play. Oh! And the return of raid battles, though Pokémon don't seem to be gigantic this time.

The only thing we need to know now is the Pokédex situation. Will Pokémon Scarlet and Violet feature all the Pokémon ever? Or will the Pokédex be split once more, enraging Pokémon fans round the world?

For now we don't know. But we will know when Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet hit store shelves on November 18 2022.
