Spoilers for My Hero Academia Chapter 329-334!
My Hero Academia is currently in its final arc. At least, it is if you're reading the manga! The anime just ended its fifth season with what was probably the best arc to date, titled "My Villain Academia". The manga however is setting up for the final confrontation between the villains and Deku. That's not the only thing the manga just did though! It introduced America's #1 hero and shortly after killed her off. Star And Stripe, Cathleen Bate, didn't die for nothing though! She may have given Deku his best chance at finishing All For One and Tomura Shigaraki once and for all! This really was a huge turning point for the villain, who seemed to be in control up until now.
Over the last few chapters, the latest one being My Hero Academia chapter 334, Cathleen Bate engaged Tomura Shigaraki and tried to end the villain once and for all. She actually defied orders in order to head to Japan and help All Might. Sadly, even though she put up a good fight, Shigaraki was too powerful. It was all part of All For One's plan to steal her powerful quirk, New Order. Shigaraki got the quirk, but that might ultimately be his downfall. Before he managed to snatch the powerful power from Star and Stripe she set a new order on her power: "New Order rebels against other quirks" and boy, oh boy, Shigaraki and All For One were not ready for that.
After absorbing the quirk and trying to use it All For One was in for a deadly shock. The power started rebelling against his other quirks and even started destroying some. For now we know for sure that his reflect quirk was destroyed, meaning he can no longer use it. It might be some time until we know the full extent of the damage done to him by New Order, but he certainly wasn't happy with this turn of events. Fans are already theorizing, and hoping, that Shigaraki's hyper regeneration was destroyed thanks to Star And Stripe. All For One seems to have passed the quirk onto someone else, and it looks like his plan is to keep that person around so he still has a way to control the power. Whether or not that happens has yet to be revealed.
Cathleen's allies delivered all the information they had available to All Might, and the heroes are ready to hunt down Shigaraki and All For One, putting an end to his reign of terror once and for all. Because of Star's death, it looks like other countries will not be lending their support to Japan, which kind of sucks for them. It'll be up to Deku, his friends and the rest of the pro heroes to save Japan from All For One once and for all. Thanks to Star And Stripe they have extra time, having delayed the completion of Shigaraki's perfect body for another week.
Will the heroes be able to hunt him down and take Shigaraki down? Or are he and All For One just too powerful to be stopped? We'll find out since it looks like the hunt for Shigaraki is on. If they do manage to end the villains, finally, they will have to give thanks to Star And Stripe who lost her life to give them this short window where they're the ones who have an advantage.
