Moon Knight: Oscar Isaac Really Wanted To Say The F Word

Moon Knight is the latest MCU show to air on Disney+, and one of the most interesting. Oscar Isaac plays the titular character, along with several other versions of him in his own broken psyche. It's a lot of fun, and Isaac has shown a lot of talent throughout the first four episodes of Moon Knight. The actor, as you can imagine, has been doing interviews discussing the show and he revealed a fun little anecdote while speaking with ScreenRant. Oscar Isaac really wanted to say the F-word in Moon Knight. Now, that hasn't happened across the entirety of the MCU, and let me tell you, this man tried to sneak it past Mickey Mouse. Unfortunately, it was to no avail. Not only did he try to sneak that F-bomb through Disney, the F-bom he wanted to drop was referencing a viral video from a few years ago. I bet you know the one. "Ah, F---. I can't believe you've done this.".

In the interview with ScreenRant Isaac admits they even filmed the takes needed, the takes where he dropped the MCU's first F-bomb. Disney refused to use any of that footage though, so we were left with a PG-13 Moon Knight, breaking the hearts of MCU fans worldwide. Is there a chance we could see this clip surface online, or perhaps in a later release of Moon Knight? Well, never say never, but I'm going to guess no. If the M-rated Netflix shows weren't allowed to drop F-bombs as one of their only rules the odds of Moon Knight doing so are slim to none. I suppose we can dream, however.

"My brother and I, there's this meme that we think is really, really funny. It's this English kid that's got a tie on his head. He's rapping, and then just a punch comes out of nowhere and punches him and he goes, 'Oh, f**k, I can't believe you've done this!' A lot of people know what I'm talking about. And so I was like, 'We've got to find an opportunity to do that.' And this seemed like the perfect time to do it. So I did it. I did a lot of takes where I actually say, 'Oh, f**k' and I thought, in Disney, because it's TV or whatever, that you get one F-bomb. But ultimately, not even one. We don't even get the one, so we had to change it. But basically, that is just my homage to that." the actor told ScreenRant.

Moon Knight has already released five episodes and you can catch them all on Disney+ with the finale airing next week on May 4, 2022.
