Mia Smoak in Arrow
Mia Smoak Might Return In The Flash Season 9

One of the few good things to come out of the last season of Arrow was Mia Smoak (Kat Mcnamara). She's Oliver's daughter in the future and eventually takes up the mantle of the Green Arrow. Mcnamara portrayed Mia Smoak brilliantly and with tons of charisma. A lot of people were looking forward to the spin-off she was set to star in, Green Arrow And The Canaries. Sadly this spin-off was never meant to be, as it was canceled before ever really getting off the ground. We did get to see her during The Flash's Armageddon against, which was awesome in and of itself! Fans hoping for her to return in the last few episodes of The Flash will undoubtedly be disappointed. It's not all bleak though, as showrunner Eric Wallace says he hopes to have her again in season 9!

That's awesome news for fans hoping that Mia Smoak would return!

“Not this year, but I do hope to have her back in Season 9.” Eric Wallace replied to TVLine's question!

As usual, though, it can't just be all good news. The Flash isn't returning when it normally does this year. Normally The Flash starts its season in the fall, but not this year. The Flash won't be returning until the mid-season schedule on The CW. That means we won't see the show until early 2023 - and that's at the earliest! Still, it could be worse! We might have ended up with absolutely no The Flash season 9. Lots of rumors are circulating, however, that The Flash season 9 will be the final for our beloved Scarlet Speedster.

McNamara has expressed interest in returning to the role of Mia Smoak! In an interview with ComicBook.com sometime last year, she seemed incredibly eager to suit up once more when she said" Anytime somebody needs a girl in a green suit to come and shoot some arrows and fight some bad guys, just project a green arrow in the sky and I'll come a-running. But now… there's always a cliffhanger and there's always a question mark and there's so much that's been set up in the story and so much moving forward that is a possibility, especially now that she's reconnected with her Uncle Barry and Aunt Iris in a lot of ways."

The Flash only has a few episodes left this year, and you can catch them on Wednesdays on The CW.
