Lex Luthor is getting a love story in Supergirl!? I have to say that this isn't what I was expecting to hear. Still, maybe Lex Luthor can go out as not a complete piece of garbage. Can finding love really change Superman's most iconic foe? Well, I'm honestly doubtful about that, but as long as it makes for an interesting arc I'm willing to give it a shot! I think what's even more surprising is who Lex Luthor is going to fall for as Supergirl nears its finale. Do you know the villain of the current season, Nyxly? The fifth-dimensional imp trying to gather magical items. Lex Luthor is going to fall for her, and the showrunners are teasing this story!

It was actually during an interview with The Wrap that Jessica Queller and Robert Rovner, the Supergirl showrunners, discussed this. They talked about this with the outlet, and let us know a little bit of what's in store for Lex Luthor.

Here's what the two had to say

Robert Rovner said "One of the things that we're excited about is that Lex and Nyxly are gonna team up in a, not only a world domination way but a love story. So we're excited to see that."

And Jessica Queller went on to add "Lex is gonna finally fall in love with his equal."

This is all happening in the coming weeks on Supergirl. Supergirl is inching towards its final episode ever, and I don't think I'm ready to say goodbye to Kara. Still, if the series can go out on a high note, I'll be satisfied, and can accept this bittersweet farewell. Not like I really have a choice, since we're heading towards that finale sooner rather than later! We're maybe a couple of months away from the ending.

And hey, none of us asked to see Lex fall in love, but maybe Lex Luthor getting a love story is just what we need. After all, if Lex Luthor can find love doesn't that mean anyone can?
