Few things are certain in this life, but one thing that almost never changes is that November will roll around and we'll have a new Call Of Duty game around that time. Last year saw the release of Call Of Duty: Vanguard. While I thought it was a fun game, a lot of hardcore COD fans disagreed. That didn't stop the game from selling incredibly well, though. The next Call Of Duty is reportedly going to head back to the future (haha) and give us a sequel to Modern Warfare. No, not Call Of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, the other Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare. The one that came out in 2019 and that fans prefer much more than Vanguard. Now it seems like the reveal for the next Call Of Duty is nearly upon us, and rumors indicate it could be Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.

This isn't completely unexpected. Activision has been teasing some kind of announcement for a few days now. It doesn't hurt that we're right around the time we start learning some Call Of Duty news, too. This is mostly speculation for now, but it does come from a Call Of Duty inside who goes by @TheGhostOfHope online. It sounds like he has a history with these things. The issue here is that even he doesn't seem 100% sure, and says we might not see anything. The date in question, though, is May 30th. So at the very least, we don't have long to wait to see if @TheGhostOfHope is correct. It's not like he outright said anything either, but he did Tweet a Modern Warfare Gif along with the date. The date, in fact, was the only thing he posted alongside the image.

@TheGhostOfHope isn't the only one who's shared information about the potential Modern Warfare 2. Others have stated that the first trailer for the game should arrive near the end of May. That would certainly line up with what @TheGhostOfHope has said.
