Batwoman Season 3 Trailer Has Alice Joining The Team

Batwoman season 2 didn't end that long ago, but I'm already super excited for season 3. The CW has already released a Batwoman season 3 trailer and it looks like Alice is joining the team! The trailer is fairly short and obviously meant to be a teaser. It's possible we'll get something a bit longer at the DC FanDome 2021 in October. Though, I guess I should mention Batwoman season 3 will have premiered three days before the DC FanDome 2021. Still, it's better than nothing and I have to admit I'm looking forward to seeing more of Javicia Leslie's Ryan Wilder. Alice joining the team is also a welcome addition.

Okay, Alice isn't actually fully joining the team. But she will be helping them, even if it seems like it's not completely willingly. It looks like Batwoman and her team will be calling on Alice to help them find some of the stolen trophies from the Batcave. This could include such items as Penguin's Umbrella, amongst other things. We also know Poison Ivy will be popping up at some point during the season, we just don't know when or where. Nor do we know how big of a role she will have, only who was cast as her. It's Bridget Regan, by the way. Just in case you don't know yet.

Javicia Leslie is just as excited as the fans for season 3 to premiere. She spoke about it with Entertainment Weekly right after season 2 ended. Here's what she had to say.

"So freaking epic. Like literally a lot of your epic Batman villains, we have all of their weapons and they've all been released into the river and people are going to find [them] and you're going to find the effects that these weapons have on these normal Gotham citizens and then becoming like these supervillains, and it's just going to be so much fun. I can't wait! I'm excited because we're about to start shooting season 3 and I can't wait to read the scripts and to see where it goes."

We also know that Ryan Wilder's mom will play some kind of role in the upcoming season three, something that Javicia Leslie discussed in the same interview.

"If I had to even say how I would feel, the first thing I would want to know is, 'Why did you give me up?' So, I think that there's always going to be that thought in the back of Ryan's head, but I think that to know that there's any person that she's blood related to still alive that she could find, I think it would be very important to her. I think that her having a mom, a mother-daughter relationship with someone is very important for Ryan. So, I know that that's probably going to be a huge part of her focus for next season, figuring out if Alice is lying. And if Alice is telling the truth, then finding out where her mother is."

I don't know about you guys, but I'll be looking forward to seeing Batwoman back on The CW on October 13, 2021!
